About this event

We hope all preteens going into 5th and 6th grade in the coming school year can join us for their ultimate summer challenge. We will explore the trails, complete challenges, and GROW together throughout our time at beautiful Camp Kern. We will discover who God says we are as well as enjoy camp classics like canoeing, archery, campfire worship and s'mores. We hope your preteen is ready for their ultimate summer challenge!

Who can attend Preteen Camp?

Preteen Camp is for anyone going into 5th or 6th grade in the next school year.

Will there be another Preteen Retreat?

No, there will no longer be a Preteen Retreat in the fall.

Where is Preteen Camp?

Preteen Camp is at YMCA Camp Kern located north of Rivers Crossing at 5291 State Route 350 in Oregonia, Ohio. Please bring your preteen to Camp Kern on the first day of camp.

What is the cost?

The total cost is $125 which includes a 1 night stay at Camp Kern, 5 meals + pizza, snacks, a camp shirt, teambuilding activities, canoeing, archery, and much more outdoor camp fun.

What to bring to Preteen Camp…

Bible

sheets for a twin mattress

blanket (or sleeping bag) and pillow

pajamas, underwear, and extra socks

jacket/hoodie and raincoat

towel, washcloth, toiletries, and toothbrush

clothes that can get dirty [we WILL be playing outside and getting wet]

spare gym shoes

plastic bags for wet clothes

You may also want to bring…

flashlight, sunscreen, bug spray
